Where You Find Me (Oben Ohne)
An electrifying feminist film about bodies that refuse obedience – and about who truly holds power over them.
Aspiring gynaecologist Beatrice moves between clinical routine and the narcotic dimness of Berlin clubs. There she meets Alex – a confident manager and future mother who finds herself facing the absurdity of the law: a fine for sunbathing topless in a park. By refusing to pay, she risks prison. Private choices explode into the public sphere. The personal becomes political.
The film is not about trans identity, although one of its protagonists is trans. Instead, it is a story about womanhood in all its complexity: control over bodies, misogyny, the right to abortion and a dignified death, as well as nudity without shame. Within the trembling, sensual images of Berlin, an unexpected friendship emerges, a queer family of choice takes shape, and an alliance that does not ask about age, but about the willingness to fight forms.
