An energetic portrait of Sally Gearhart – a lesbian feminist, professor, and fantasy author who helped shape the women’s and queer movements in the United States throughout the 1970s and 80s. Charismatic and uncompromising, she was pushed to the margins of history books written with a patriarchal pen. This film restores her rightful place, with humour, fire, and a great deal of heart.

It’s not merely the biography of a ’’hidden heroine”, but an honest exploration of the tensions that run through revolutionary movements: between radicalism and dialogue, the cult of personality and the need for collective action.
