Call me Agnes
Agnes has a life full of secrets, in which badminton, queer friendships and a restaurant in her own home make up a colourful, complex daily life. When her younger brother Indra unexpectedly arrives from Indonesia, Agnes is faced with an uneasy choice: to continue lying or to reveal the truth about her transgender identity. It soon becomes clear that confronting her past is not only difficult, but also full of unexpected emotions.
The musical blends fiction and real life to create a mesmerising tale of love, identity and the courage to be yourself, where any decision can change everything. It’s a comedy that is not afraid to tackle taboo subjects and unobvious relationships, where truth and lies dance to the beat of the music.
