Blooming on the Asphalt (Kwiaty ulicy)

A lot of things happened during last few years: Jack started the gender reassignment process, while his home country Brazil turned towards conservatism. “Blooming on the asphalt”, by the eyes of Coraci Ruiz and Julio Matos, shows us glimpses from Jack’s life. He blooms slowly – just like urban flowers, which find the way between cracks on asphalt roads. The movie lights the spark of hope in dark and tough times, presenting the chain of solidarity and tenderness, which Jack and his friends give to each other, exposing defects of cis-tem in the same time.
