Indecent behaviour becomes acceptable, as long as it concerns heteronormative standards. So the protagonists, Eddie and Amber, decide to be together for the sake of peace. He is a lost and terrified by his sexuality gay, she is an aware of her desires and dreams lesbian. Their skirmishes with their peers and parents create not only a feisty coming-of-age story, but they also sketch a brighter, social context, connected with development of equality and libertarian attitudes.
