Dating Amber
1990’s. The youth (even the provincial one) can be characterized by increased and not particularly concealed sexual activity, not considering it as moral dilemma. Indecent behaviour becomes acceptable, as long as it concerns heteronormative standards. So the protagonists, Eddie and Amber, decide to be together for the sake of peace. He is a lost and terrified by his sexuality gay, she is an aware of her desires and dreams lesbian. Their skirmishes with their peers and parents create not only a feisty coming-of-age story, but they also sketch a brighter, social context, connected with development of equality and libertarian attitudes.
